Our Environmental Impacts

PeopleProfitPlanet can and has helped many organisations to significantly reduce their environmental impacts and emissions.  However, like all companies PeopleProfitPlanet has a carbon footprint of its own and its day-to-day operations impact upon the environment.

Our main environmental impacts arise from the following:

  • Offices – Emissions associated with energy used to heat and power our offices
  • Transport – Emissions from business related transportation
  • Waste – Waste generated in our offices that currently cannot be recycled
  • Suppliers – Emissions, waste and environmental impacts generated by our suppliers providing services for or to PeopleProfitPlanet

Office: When we are not working at client sites, we encourage working from home.  Our office is a serviced office which enables us to flex our needs and thus use just the office space we need.

Transport Policy: All members of staff minimise their transport related carbon footprint wherever possible.  When travelling locally, employees are encouraged to either walk or cycle.  When commuting or travelling nationally, employees endeavour to use public transport. When international travel is required, we endeavour to utilise the train whenever practical.

Waste Management: At PeopleProfitPlanet we live by the motto Reduce, Re-use, Re-cycle.  Wherever possible, our employees reduce their use of resources, such as using printing optimisation techniques, such as double sided, two pages to a side, margin minimisation, etc.  We also re-use as much as possible too; you won’t find any plastic cups here, only our favourite ceramic mugs.  We also try to recycle anything that’s recyclable:  if it can be recycled then it will be recycled.

Suppliers: We aim to source all necessary business supplies and equipment from local, ethical and environmentally sustainable suppliers and encourage them to do the same.  When choosing partners, we evaluate their strategy and approach to sustainability.
