We often use workshops to raise the knowledge and motivation of your whole organisation, both staff and leadership, as part of a successful sustainability programme. We have developed a considerable number of different workshops which fall into two categories:
- Sustainability for generalists or inexperienced practitioners – This includes our Beginners Guide to Environmental Sustainability, Awareness & Action, How to implement Environmental Sustainability for Green Champions, and Sustainability for Generalists
- Sustainability for experienced practitioners – This includes courses with such titles as Environmental Policy: turning good intentions into commercial benefit, From compliance to commercial benefit: how to bring your EMS to life, Coaching skills: how to influence colleagues, managers & leadership, The Psychology of Resource Inefficiency, Selling Sustainability upwards, Middle Management… hindering sustainability? How they can help, How to set up and run an effective Environmental Champions network, Which sustainability standard?, Effective organisational messaging for sustainability, Sustainability as a source of innovation, Employee environmental engagement – the first steps, Beyond engagement: how to create ownership of sustainability and How to establish an effective sustainability strategy.
Our Awareness+Action Workshop engages your employees in an informative and creative forum to generate cost saving initiatives to reduce your organisation’s environmental impact. This process will encourage your employees to:
- Consider the environmental challenges we face
- Think about the easy, achievable ways they could reduce their environmental impact, save money and create opportunities (using an activity called Carbon Bingo©)
- Reflect on why they may not be consistently practicing these activities
- Commit to an achievable personal action plan to change their behaviour at work & home
- Form teams to provide support in achieving the behavioural change
We are very flexible in how we deliver this engagement. For example:
- Online Training sessions – for NG Bailey Construction Services we delivered 3 linked 1 hour webinars over a number of weeks
- Small Workshops – for Allianz Insurance we toured all their major sites in the UK delivering lunch n’ learn style sessions
- Large Workshops – for Leeds City College we delivered a whole day session for over 500 of their staff
