Below is the timeline of PeopleProfitPlanet, showing the ‘Firsts’ and ‘Largest’ and other noteworthy events in our development.
2006
August: Adam Woodhall comes up with the idea of PeopleProfitPlanet and starts developing it
October 31st: First public presentation at a Redmayne Bentley Stockbrokers business briefing (co-incidentally on the same day that the Stern Report was launched)
December: First two hour presentation of the ‘Action+Awareness’ workshop for JCI Leeds
2007
January 17th: First client - Bauman Lyons Architects
February: Adam meets probably world’s most famous ‘environmentalist’: Al Gore
March: Due to PPP’s consultancy, the 8to5 Energy Saver wins Shell Springboard
June: First delivery outside UK for JCI European Conference in Maastricht
June: First government sector client – Barnsley NHS
June: Largest single days delivery – 500 staff at Park Lane College with 5 Carbon Coaches delivering
June: Delivered a keynote speech in place of Ian Pearson the Minister of State for Climate Change & Environment at the ‘Green Conference’.
September: Delivery to a Chartered Institute of Marketing event
October: First delivery for a Third Sector client – a full day delivery with 2 Carbon Coaches for Business In the Community
November: Adam wins ‘Most Outstanding Trainer’ awarded by JCI UK
December: PeopleProfitPlanet is award a grant of £20,000 by UnLtd.
2008
January: Largest contract yet agreed with Wates Construction to deliver 15 days work
March: The busiest month for PeopleProfitPlanet, with 6 clients delivered to in one month
April: Delivery to a Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development conference in Manchester
June: Northern Finalist for HSBC Start Up Stars
July: Delivery to largest company yet – Prudential Insurance in Glasgow
September: Delivery to smallest company yet – 5 staff at Tiger 11
2009
January: Second full time employee of PeopleProfitPlanet starts
May: Adam meets Lord Nicholas Stern at the launch of the Centre for Climate Change Economics and Policy and thanks him for helping ‘launch’ PPP by unveiling the Stern Report on the same day as he did his first public presentation in 2006.
June 5th: Delivery for Allianz Insurance for the World Environment Day celebrations with their Chief Executive, Andrew Torrance attending one of the workshops
July: Sell to Man Group – the world’s largest Hedge Fund
August: Work with shop floor manufacturing staff for the first time, delivering Green Champions training at Thornton & Ross, the UK’s largest independent pharmaceutical company
September: Deliver an 11 site ‘Eco-roadshow’ for Allianz Insurance visiting all their sites in England
