Impacts

PeopleProfitPlanet can and has helped many individuals and businesses to significantly reduce their environmental impacts and emissions.  However, like all companies PeopleProfitPlanet has a carbon footprint and its day-to-day operations impact upon the environment.  Although minimal, our main environmental impacts arise from the following:

Offices – Emissions associated with energy used to heat and power our offices.

Transport – Emissions from business related transportation.

Waste – Waste generated in our offices that currently cannot be recycled.

Associates – Emissions, waste and environmental impacts generated by our associates providing services for or to PeopleProfitPlanet.

Minimising our impacts

Transport Policy: All members of staff try to minimise their transport related carbon footprint wherever possible.  When travelling locally, employees are encouraged to either walk or cycle.  When commuting or travelling nationally, employees endeavour to use public transport.  We avoid driving over short and long distances and only use a car when it is unavoidable.  PeopleProfitPlanet operations may also involve travel within the European Union.  When this arises it is company policy for employees to travel by train.

Waste Management: At PeopleProfitPlanet we live by the motto Reduce, Re-use, Re-cycle.  Wherever possible, our employees reduce their use of resources.  This is done by adopting cost+carbon cutting behaviours such as always printing double sided and always turning the computer off at night.  We re-use as much as possible too.  You won’t find any plastic cups here, only our favourite ceramic mugs.  We also try to recycle anything that’s recyclable.  If it can be recycled then it will be recycled.

Training: One of our aims is to be a carbon positive and environmentally regenerative company. To achieve this, we believe that our employees must be among the most motivated and knowledgeable in the industry.  All our employees undertake internal and external training so they have the drive and expertise to minimise company/personal environmental impacts and emissions.

Suppliers: We aim to source all necessary business supplies and equipment from local, ethical and environmentally sustainable suppliers, where possible.

Associates: We also try to work with and employ like-minded associates who share our passion to help both business and the environment.  This vetting process ensures that PeopleProfitPlanet works in conjunction with other individuals/organisations with similar values, increasing the positive impacts and scope of our mission.
