Develop a Green Policy

PeopleProfitPlanet works with you to successfully develop the necessary ideas, skills, priorities and policies to make your cost+carbon saving programme a success.  The core ‘tool’ we use to develop your programme is by working with a group of motivated employees (often called Green Champions) to work in this area.  To understand how you can develop your organisation’s environmental performance, please contact us.

These Champions will normally be a mix of volunteers, strategically important influencers and implementers (e.g. facilities managers, environment officers, etc) and crucially a senior sponsor who will be able to help drive the changes through the organisation.  This work can also develop your Environmental Management System (EMS) and help you to achieve, or continue to attain, an environmental standard, i.e. ISO14001, EMS or BS8555.

Core Tools:

Strategy Sessions: We believe that all levels of your organisation should be involved in developing your environmental policy.  In addition to working with your Green Champions (see below), we can support your leadership team with the roll-out of cost+carbon saving ideas across a site or an entire organisation. We can also advise on strategies to reduce an organisation’s carbon footprint and meet goals set out in a company’s CSR policy.

Green Champions Development: Below are the services we offer to develop your Green Champions and through them, your overall economic and environmental sustainability:

Influencers Training: We work with your Green Champions to ensure they effectively work as environmental influencers (and don’t become the eco-police).  The training helps them communicate on green subjects to colleagues at all levels & understanding and develops their personal influencing style.

Green Pathways: The Green Pathways session helps your business prioritise the cost+carbon saving ideas and look at how your employees will practically deliver sustainability.  Also these sessions consider how your employes can best support each other.

Workplace Sustainability Training:  We provide your Green Champions with direct training to help them green their work environment.

Champions toolkit: We provide your Champions with an email tool kit with tips and advice.

Certificates: To reward your Champions we provide a ‘Certificate of Environmental Recognition’ to recognise their ongoing commitment.
